Care Instructions

The following are instructions on how to take care of your jewelry to maintain its original quality:

  1. Always protect your jewelry from household chemicals, harsh soaps, sunlight, and excessive heat and cold.
  2. Remove your jewelry when washing your hands and bathing. Apply perfume or hairspray before putting on your jewelry.
  3. Be gentle with your jewelry when taking it on and off and avoid excessive pulling, twisting or tugging.
  4. Store your jewelry in a soft container such as pouch or lined box with an anti-tarnish strip. Try to keep pieces wrapped separately so they don’t scratch each other.
  5. Your jewelry will age and tarnish naturally. In order to maintain your jewelry’s original condition, clean your jewelry regularly using a professional jewelry cleaning product. Please read the manufacturer’s instructions carefully.
  6. Never go swimming wearing your jewelry, as chlorine in swimming pools can cause damage to all metals, including erosion and discoloration.
  7. Many common chemical products such as cleaning products, face washes, perfumes, hairsprays, nail polishes, hand sanitizers, hand lotions, gardening chemicals, and even excessive perspiration can damage jewelry. Avoid activities which use these products when wearing jewelry.
  8. Do not use chemically treated polishing cloths on our jewelry, except items that are sterling silver without plating. We do not recommend using these products on our jewelry as they may be too harsh.

STERLING SILVER

Our sterling silver jewelry is made with 925 silver. To keep the jewelry looking bright and polished, keep all jewelry away from harsh chemicals like household cleaning fluids as they create abrasions and reduce the lustre of the metal. Cleaning silver jewelry is best done with a professional jewelry cleaning product. Thoroughly dry your silver jewelry after exposure to water. Also adhere to all General Care instructions.

GOLD PLATED

Our gold-plated jewelry has a thin layer of 14 or 18 carat gold on top of sterling silver or brass. All plating can wear off over time. Please use gentle cleaning products as other substances may be too strong and remove the gold. We suggest that you do not wear gold-plated jewelry in the shower and make a habit to remove it every day. To clean, use a mild dishwashing liquid diluted in water. Use of a polishing cloth or strong jewelry cleaner is not recommended as it may remove the plating. Also, adhere to all General Care instructions.

STAINLESS STEEL

Our stainless steel jewelry is durable, tarnish-resistant, and waterproof, making it perfect for everyday wear. Stainless steel can be worn while showering, swimming, and exercising without losing its color or shine. To keep your jewelry looking its best, we still recommend avoiding harsh chemicals and thoroughly drying after exposure to saltwater or chlorine. To clean, use mild soap and warm water with a soft cloth. Also adhere to all General Care instructions.
